One of Chloe's (Director) university projects involved collaborating with several peers to create a comic where the story was told through design rather than words. Although Chloe initially pitched her own concept, the group ultimately decided on a story about an Eskimo boy waiting for a friend in the vast, lonely Arctic.

For Chloe’s panel, she focused on capturing the passage of time and the quiet grief of waiting. Through the positioning of the boy’s body and the changing weather around him, Chloe beautifully conveyed his eager anticipation and the emotional weight of his solitude.

Using muted colours, she ensured her panel visually aligned with her collaborators’ work while still making her scene striking and emotive. The final result was a powerful comic that combined both design and storytelling to convey a deeply emotional narrative.
